Also asking for the 1st dose vaccine confirmation.

A bunch of people i know have thrown away that page the moment they received the 2nd dose / vaccine pass as the 1st dose page was now totally useless.

Now the issue with the 2nd dose confirmation / vaccine pass is that it doesn't say when the first dose was injected and the vaccine centers can no longer issue that page.

That is not the case in UK - both the downloaded and printed records show both vaxxes: Vaccine type, batch number, date and location.

I'm hopeful that after getting my booster (sometime in the next 10 days or so) it will then show all 3.

But in any event, why would anyone throw something like that away? File it all "just in case"

Well good for you, not the case here, or at least when i was vax.

Also the first vaccine confirmation wasn't even printed / doubled in English (the 2nd was)

For everyone's benefit...where is "here"? (Just so others know what to expect)

(I'm presuming you're not in Thailand as none of this would affect you if you were)

So 32,000 applicants have their plans held up, and 6,000 people got lucky.

I am seeing some people with flight dates a month away getting instant approvals, and people flying soon have nothing but a confirmation email. Generally, if you get a confirmation email, but not instant approval, your application is in the ether.

10,000 apps on first day, only 400 approvals.

so, it’s 10,000 apps filed every day, 1500 approvals.

Sounds like a 7 day turnaround to me.

I did mine application this afternoon.

Made sure I had all relevant documents scanned and in .jpeg, Copy passport, visa page, vaccination certificate etc.  Even a copy of the vaccination QR code. All other details written down ready to copy including hotel name and address, insurance policy number.

All went smoothly and I got an approved message which also stated that I would be receiving a confirmation email with a QR code. Not arrived yet.

The headline figures are not real.

Because the system does not work you have:

Multiple applications by the same person

Multiple acknowledgements and approvals to the same person.

It works the same way with call centres.  If they are understaffed they will say they have 100,000 callers a day.  But actually they have 10,000 callers a day calling, on average, ten times to get a response.

My guess is nobody knows the actual number of people approved under this process.

Not looking forward to making the application - I expect problems with my insurance cover.

No idea if the 40,000 figure is correct but I can't see a lot being the real tourists that they want. Once the backlog of husbands, fathers and partners who have been waiting for quarantine to end have travelled, I suspect the numbers will go down - dramatically!

Didn't we see the same thing with the Phuket Sandbox?  Announcements in the first few days saying how well it was doing - then an admission of failure a couple of months later.

Tourists just want to book and go - they are not going to put up with all the agro involved with this  I'm having trouble just making the AQ booking - can't even get their bank details out of them so I can pay.

WordPerfect wasn't a bad little word processing program actually.  I learned my first spread sheeting using Suercalc on a 14" green screen with no mouse, a 386 with 640k and 20M of memory. That was when you had to actually know math to write the equations - I was counting open/close brackets in my sleep.

I asked the predecessor of the IT specialist (known as The Computer Guy) if he could upgrade it to 1M of RAM - he asked me what the hell I was gonna do with a Super Computer.  When I told him it was because Larry the Lounge Lizard was playing a bit slow, he saw my reasoning.

I worked in programming in the late 1970s in Burroughs Algol.  The programs were entered using punch cards and debugging of programs was done in multiple 24 hour cycles.  A hard disk drive (multiple disks) was about the size of a washing machine.  1MB of RAM was cutting edge stuff.

Today they went back to SHA+ and SHABA Code, as the website just isn't ready yet to handle the applications. Back to square one, the usual screw up of the IT crew and clowns in uniform.

I flew in on 1st November but made sure it was under the old SHA+ and COE system. At least the COE system had been debugged and worked for most people. Would it not have been straightforward to make a simple modification to the old COE system so that it changed the SHA+ hotel stay to one night (which it did in my case anyway) and then issued you with a QR code instead of a COE! That seems so simple I feel I have missed something.....

You did....you missed the fact that "TIT" ????

Less flippantly, the so-called IT experts missed:

Functional Testing - is it fit  for purpose

Load Testing - will it fall over when a reasonable number of users actually want to use it

Security Testing - can users with no privileges break into it

UI (User Interface) Testing - basically, does it appear user friendly and is it intuitive

Compatibility Testing - should have been checked with a cross-section of modern devices / browsers

Regression Testing - redo above when bugs fixed....sorry...IF bugs fixed!

Apart from that it's ready to go!

This is not software that was released....it is software that escaped!!! ????

The COE system was better.

There, I said it.

If this is the case then how does the 72 hour covid test weigh into this?

How is even possible to file before you have the test a few days before?? **I know nothing of the process.

Because the test is irrelevant to being issued the TP.

Also for Thai Nationals Thailand Pass the final section is insurance which they don't need. It wont let you complete the application for submission until you enter Start Date, Policy Number, coverage amount etc NAD upload something. I just copied the section from the Thailand Website stating Thai do not need insurance, saved as a JPEG and uploaded that. Seems like the programmers forgot to remove the entire section on Insurance when you select Returning Thai National.

2 hours ago I entered the data in Thailand-Pass (Microsoft Edge) for me (German) and my wife (TH) until the end and sent them.

Positive: Everything ok until the end, no query about insurance for my TH wife

Negative: Only a confirmation after sending on the monitor that the registrations have been made --- no e-mail.

Don't forget to mention that if you were sat directly to the left or the right of an infected person you must do 10 days quarantine at your own expense, even if you test negative. At approx. 5,000THB per night for an AQ hotel, who pays this 50,000THB ? ????

This whole Thailand Pass has been a mystery, my non-imm. ``O`` visa arrived just after midnight South African time.

I was fearful of submitting the documents and had some forewarning from reading ASEAN NOW.

Do not be alarmed it is easy. First of all have a friend that you may ask for assistance. Generally the ``kids`` know stuff.

Get all your documents into ``jpeg`` format, (Joint Photographic Experts Group). That is print them out.

Take your smartphone and take a picture of your documents, rotate them and size them maybe. Then if you are not using your smartphone send them to your e-mail address. Then open the attachment (Preferably on a computer, bigger is better) and save each of them to your downloads or documents. Rename them ``Thai Pass, 1 Passport`` and ``Thai Pass, 2 Vaccination and so on.

The Thailand Pass does not use Google Chrome so download Microsoft Edge, which takes about 2-3 minutes and then type in the address, https://tp.consular.go.th.

Now you are good to go.

Read carefully what is wanted. Fill it all in. After your passport details it will ask you to download your passport. Click on the ``browse`` rectangle and your saved documents in jpeg format pop up. Highlight ``Passport 1``, then click on the highlighted item, hold your click and drag it to your rectangle and release it. give it a 30 to 60 seconds to down load and move on.

The next item, vaccination, for instance is the same same but no different.

Before you know and just when you are beginning  to get into it you are done.

My document was downloaded and I received an acknowledgement shortly thereafter.

I hope this will help someone out there. Stay safe and Bon Voyage !

Plenty of people have used Chrome and various other browsers. If a specific browser doesn't work ensure it is up-to-date or just try another.

You know who does so why spout BS?

What if you don't have it? Do they send you back on the plane you arrived on? Or maybe keep you locked in your hotel room until you've set a go fund me page and have the money?
