Popular Post webfact
file photo The Thai government has issued a warning about a website which claims to be the Thailand Pass portal, the system used to allow vaccinated tourists to register to visit the country. The website is located at https://thailandpass.org/ and was still online at the time of posting. The website, which does include a link to the genuine Thailand Pass website, also includes affiliate links to hotel booking websites and appears to have been set up to earn revenue from bookings at SHA+ or ASQ hotels. Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (DES) spokesperson Nopphawan Huajaiman said on Friday the website is not official and has no affiliation with any government agency. The genuine Thailand Pass website, which launched on Nov 1 is located at: https://tp.consular.go.th/ On Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it had received more than 60,000 applications on the Thailand Pass website. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2021-11-06 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates Get your business in front of millions of customers who read ASEAN NOW with an interest in Thailand every month - email [email protected] for more information

Caveat Emptor I applaud anyone who has the smarts to jump on the bandwagon and make some money. Is it illegal - no. Just taking bookings Can use those same bookings as a condition to getting the pass from Thai Gov't Sorry I did not think of it !!! 555

Popular Post Thailand
Nothing wrong with this site. It clearly states that it is not the official site for obtaining the Thailand Pass" on at least 3 occassions and clearly links to the actual government website. Just smart business. ThailandPass .com has a "coming soon" on the site so more competition.
mikebell
Irony Alert. Will they now take down all the sites praising this Gov?
Popular Post Gsxrnz
A click bait story. The website clearly states it is not the official site to obtain a pass and has a link to the official consular website. Top marks to the site creators (be they Thai or not) who managed to filch the thailandpass.org URL and try to make a buck on hotel referrals - it's called entrepreneurship. EDIT: I just re-thunk this. I wonder if the site developers are a relation of some HISO in the government, and this news article/press release is just inexpensive advertising and promotion of the site? Maybe I've been in Thailand too long. Edited November 6, 2021 by Gsxrnz 3

HappyExpat57
I found this site to be MUCH more informative and laid out clearer than ANY Thai web site. It's NOT a fake, it's a great public service. Do I sense some cyber jealousy?

internationalism
in bangkok they have only 10 AQ hotels (the 2 cheapest ones for $20 and $40 clearly don't include tests, transport, food). Looks like they link to agoda. Agoda do charge additional service charge, VAT on top of initially shown prices. Hence it's an expensive option. The cheapest and most reliable is to contact hotels directly, through any other websites

It's not a fake Thailand pass form. It's a site that display a link to the actual form plus links to approved hotels for reservations. They get a commission from hotels when bookings are generated through those links.
