Bangkok to crackdown on rule breaking motorcyclists from Monday

Wonder how long this "crackdown" will last? The boys in brown need to replenish the coffers, so could be longer than the usual.

Actually the crackdown has been never ending since I've been here.  About 5 yrs ago, they started the 'pay for photo' of violators thingy as an incentive for help.

 

Only difference I see with current news-blip is a contest offered with 20k prize.  More just a public cry for help, as they simple don't have the manpower to enforce the law.

They might be serious. but the delivery people will always be one step ahead of them. Let's hope they don't do what they did in major cities in China and ban motorcycles completely. It could happen.

I remember when they made riding in the back of a pickup truck illegal hows that working out?

I wish they would crack down on no mufflers or noisy modifications.
