What Is Blocked, And What Is Not.

Featured Replies

Lets make a list so we can have one thread to discuss what is and isn't blocked, and to trade info on what works where and with what ISP. Makes more sense than starting a whole bunch of topics does it not?

Clicked a link to the new Rambo movie trailer yesterday, blocked.

www.shamrockmuscle.co.uk Blocked <deleted>?????????

Nice idea but as has been proven time and time again the block is often by ISP, by area. End result, I've spoken to people with the 'same' service provider but in a different area of the city {BKK}, who can access sites I cannot and visa versa.

That's exactly what I mean. This way we have a single thread to compare these things so we don't have tons of duplicates everytime a single ISP blocks or unblocks a site for an hour.

You want to list all websites blocked by the ICT? Then download the ICT list from FACT - Freedom Against Censorship Thailand website.

Note: they claim to have downloaded the list from MICT servers, I have no idea how trustworthy this information is...

Note2: I read somewhere that they'll organise a MASS MOB-ilisation at Pantip Plaza, Petchburi Road, at 1 pm on Saturday, June 9, 2007, but nothing on their blog, so not sure about this.

From my True connexion, I get a 'timed out' message from the link above, shock....

Bear's do not use outside conveniences.

:o

No problem accessing it from True in Bkk...

link works and whats more a url taken at random from the list works also ...............................

would have preferred it didn't . :o

I wonder often if Thaivisa is blocked as I cant get into the site and when i DO I cant select any post I want to read?

Link works... <snip>

Which simply proves how shambling the whole 'blocking' operation is.

By the by, just for fun, I rang a friend who's building I can see out of my window and asked her to try, she's on True too {identical package} and yes it worked for her. I then got her to try a link I can access, which is 'questionable', and guess what she couldn't see it but I could.

PS Matron, I feel one of my headaches coming on
