Thai national in handcuffs for drug trafficking

A Thai woman was arrested by authorities after she smuggled drugs into the country. The woman was arrested at the Phnom Penh National Airport on the night of November 15. She was arrested by a joint force of forces of the Anti-Drug Department and the police force of the airport.

 

The special force from the Anti-Drug Department was led by Maj. Gen. Sary Bot Satya. They cooperated with the Customs and Excise authorities of the International Airport. The joint force coordinated with the Deputy Prosecutor of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court, Muth Dara, during the operation.

 

The Thai woman was identified as 62-year-old Sinee Saisuwan. She holds a passport with the number AB3676188. According to authorities the smuggled originated from Mali and passed through Ethiopia and South Korea before being smuggled into Cambodia. The woman smuggled close to two kilograms of drugs, which were hidden in luggage.
