Popular Post ikke1959
If they could spend so much money for Lalisa, it would be better to cancel all New Year celbrations this year, and give the money that Lalisa and Mr Boteccli would cost to the restaurants.. Better stay safe than later in January again dealing with a lot of new infections. Omicron is still unknown what it will and can do, but apparently vaccines are weak against it. Be prepared and don't organize mass events, but keep maybe this year calm as in Europe. 2 1

Sydebolle
Given the average Thai intellect it can be safely said, that the upcoming Xmas/New Year business out of Bangkok just got nicely toasted with the compliments of a siht stirrer in Saraphi. I for one, couldn't care less regardless how many cases. Fully vaxed and am traveling extensively starting next month, including Chiang Mai, unless the "Covidiots" lock and shut everything down again. 1 case or 100,000 or more...don't care. Will this madness never end?!?

BangkokReady
How can anyone have had contact with a new variant if everyone entering the country is tested upon arrival? If no one is entering the country and being allowed into the general populace without testing, then how can the new variant get here?

Also, the rapid tests may have false negatives.

Maybe you have forgotten what happened in December last year: porous land borders and ineffective policing. “Thai women are very popular with [the 1G1-7 Hotel] clientele, who are described by the Tachileik resident as, “fat military generals from Yangon”.” https://thethaiger.com/coronavirus/covid-infected-thai-returnees-myanmar-hotel-in-the-spotlight And last January too: https://www.irrawaddy.com/specials/myanmar-covid-19/thais-returning-casinos-myanmar-test-positive-covid-19.html Edited December 17, 2021 by silver sea

There have been over 200,000 cases in South Africa and the information coming out of that country says it is a far weaker strain, 2-3 days just like the flu. The vaxx is weak against all strains. cardinalblue
What are you talking about….the vax is superior vs new strains….those who are still being hospitalized and dying equate to the unvaccinated… vax equals severity reduction….
