snoop1130
Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) confirmed today (Thursday) there has yet to be a cutoff date set for entry into Thailand under the “Test and Go” scheme, for people who have already been granted their “Thailand Pass”, even though the issuing of new passes has been suspended since December 22nd, 2021. The confirmation, given in a press briefing by MFA Spokesperson Tanee Sangrat, comes after the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) announced on January 7th that people with the passes only could enter until January 15th after which the decision will be revisited. The temporary suspension of processing of new Thailand Pass applications comes amid growing concerns over the rapid spread of the COVID-19 Omicron variant, as infections in Thailand rebounded to over 3,000 per day soon after the New Year, with 8,167 recorded today. Popular Post soi3eddie
This is good news as I arrive under test and go on 19th January. They probably haven't imposed a cut off as it is highly likely that few of the issued passes are actually being used due to high numbers of cancellations. Let's face it there are many scared off for a number of reasons such as limited nightlife, threat of expensive Covid jail (hospital) for testing positive etc. Thailand is my second home so for me it's part of my life. For tourists under current rules, why bother!
ourmanflint
Test and Go is good for those that can come, but book your 2nd test asap, as it can take 2-3 days to get an appointment at hospital you want Edited January 14, 2022 by ourmanflint
Popular Post spidermike007
So, what they are essentially saying is, we are gripped by fear and panic of the impending Apocalypse, so do not come to Thailand. Since we cannot make up our minds, and we cannot maintain any kind of consistent policy, there is no point in you spending alot of time, effort, and money, when we cannot guarantee you safe passage into our country. For these reasons, tourism in Thailand is finished, in any meaningful manner, permanently. Here are the current rules! Apply for Thailand Pass Present negative PCR test result taken within 72 hours of departure (ages 5 and under exempt) Present proof of full vaccination with an approved vaccine (ages 17 and under exempt if travelling with parents) Purchase travel insurance with min. US$50,000 coverage for COVID-19 medical treatment Book SHA Extra Plus hotel for at least 7 days (for <7 days, must present proof you’re leaving on the day of check-out e.g. air ticket) Book and prepay for 2x PCR tests (can be arranged through hotel) Take PCR test on arrival and isolate at hotel until negative result received If negative result received, stay within Sandbox zone for 7 days Take PCR test on Day 6 or 7 Download MorChana app (Android | iOS) to report the results of Day 6 or 7 test On Day 7, a release form will be issued, and free travel around Thailand is permitted. Hooray! Lots of tourists. Haha Expect more airport scenes like this, in Thailand's future. The goons have succeeded. In sabotaging a vital industry, and bringing unhappiness to the people.
