Popular Post webfact
BANGKOK, Jan 13 (TNA) – The National Anti-Corruption Commission decided to bring to the Supreme Court a 240-million-baht budget allocation case against former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra. NACC secretary-general Niwatchai Kasemmongkol said the commission resolved to file the case against Yingluck, Niwatthamrong Boonsongpaisan, Suranand Vejjajiva, Matichon pcl, Siam Sport Syndicate pcl and Ravi Lohtong in the allegedly illegal budget allocation for the Roadshow to Thailand's Future Thailand 2020 campaign. Mr Niwatchai said the anti-graft panel should be able to bring the case to the Supreme Court's Criminal Division for Holders of Political Positions in two weeks. Previously public prosecutors rejected indictment on the case, claiming lack of evidence, but the NACC stood firm there was enough evidence. Even the courts are as cynical we are.
Andycoops
The Yingluck witch hunt continues by using the equally corrupt N A C C, there should be a Anti corruption body looking into them as they only seem to pursue opponents of the current government. And weren't they all directly appointment by them ...
Srikcir
Another instance where someone will be tried in absentia. Criminal cases brought against Yingluck have been largely about financial irresponsibility and corrupt collusion. There appears to be no statute of limitations regarding court filings against Yingluck. But Yingluck has never been accused of homicide. Yet in the case of Red Bull heir Vorayuth Yoovidhaya who was accused of a 2012 hit-and-rin killing of a police officer, he has avoided any prosecution by fleeing the country. Never has there been consideration for a criminal trial in absentiaas the statute of limitations ru s out. PM Prayut supervises both the RTP and DSI, he could make Vorayuth's trial in absentia happen. Seems to be once again unequal politicized justice focused on money. Popular Post Excel
More deflection by the incompetent by the spiteful buffoons in charge in yet another further attempt to deflect the publics attention away from the their own corruption and incompetence. If any of the Yinglucks were still in charge this country would not be in such a social and economic mess it is currently in.
Popular Post ThailandRyan
8 years on and they are still beating a dead horse that was removed, tried and convicted in other cases. Just pile more on top of the others to deflect away from this current Governments corruption. Of course Prayut went into power with only a few million baht but is now worth many many millions if not more. This from 2014 after he stole power: In his mandatory 4 September 2014 asset disclosure to the National Anti-Corruption Commission, the prime minister listed 128.6 million baht (US$3.9 million) in assets and 654,745 baht (US$20,000) in liabilities. His assets included a Mercedes Benz S600L, a BMW 740Li series sedan, three additional vehicles, nine luxury watches valued at three million baht, US$200,000 in jewellery, and several pistols. He also reported the transfer of 466.5 million baht (US$14.3 million) to other family members. As army chief, prior to his retirement at the end of September, the general received a 1.4 million baht (US$43,000) annual salary. All articles since 2014 have disappeared from the web and it is hard to find the one from 2 years ago which indicated how much his wealth had grown since he took power.
