Dado Trunking? How are these things called in Thailand?

Recommended Posts

I like electric installations like this which makes it very easy to add additional cables and outlets.

How is this called in Thailand (in English or Thai)? Who sells these?

I looked at the usual construction online (and offline) shops in Thailand but I didn't find them.

I'll have to check the size when I get home, but I got some big trunking of that style from Global. Of course you would have to cut out for the outlets yourself.

Thanks for your fast response.

These system are available ready made at least in Europe, maybe all over the world.

Here is a UK link which I found.

If possible I want to buy a system with includes all the little details ready to install.

I have not seen it either, but trunking and surface-mount boxes are very cheap, are very easy to install, look pretty good and are available everywhere.

Trunking in HomePro's search box.

Ragging the corners with silicone sealant really dresses them up nice...

I’m also had dado trunking on my shopping list for the office.

The trunking I used before was different to the German brand. It had 3x channels so the data and power didn’t run together. You also need the back boxes to fit in the middle channel.

The stuff from RS seems a bit pricey.

The OP might consider contacting Schneider in Thailand and perhaps https://www.bticino.co.th/en/showroom/   Legrand might offer what the OP is seeking. If he can buy it locally in Thailand from a Schneider dealer or via Legrand he might have a better overall buying experience than through an online service with no warehouse in Thailand such as RS.  https://www.se.com/ww/en/product-range/61226-ultra/

Thanks, that showroom is 5 minutes away from me. I will definitely have a look what they have. The picture (opening the link above) looks promising with lots of items on display.
