STV visa extension

Featured Replies

Hi, I am now on the first 90 days of my STV visa and preparing to extend another 90 days. Has anyone done this process and do you know the documents required? What about insurance? My "Covid" insurance was for the initial 90 days, do I have to extend that too? Thanks if you can shed light on these matters!

The unhelpful answer is it depends on where you are extending.

I did mine in Chiang Mai. Was not asked for insurance first time, second time I was.

You will need the usual copies so passport photo page, visa page, page with entry stamp, application form, TM30 and 1,900B.

Don't leave it till the last day just in case they decide to ask for additional info which is always a possibility.

Hi ha, thanks for your 'unhelpful' answer, which is helpful of course and you're totally right. Here in Trat, it seems they do require insurance (the covid, over the top expensive one of course)...

Thanks again for your input! xo

Hi I'm just putting this post back on the "market" as I need to do my last STV covid extension - my insurance (Luma) is asking me almost double price compared to my previous quote (for the first extension). Is Covid insurance still required for STV extension (on May 3) and if yes, do you have tips of cheap covid insurance? Thanks a lot!
