Difficulty Burning An Iso File

Featured Replies

I downloaded the latest Kubuntu release onto my laptop while in the US and have been trying to burn it onto a CD. I have Nero, and did specify an ISO CD (and have it set to overburn) but the burn keeps failing. I managed to get one burned but it had errors and wouldn't boot the cd correctly.

The file is 695mb. So, now what?

Set your maximum burn rate to something slower like 4X and try again. And be sure to select the option to verify after write.

I normally check to burn "important" software to CD-RW first at lowest speed before burn "final"!

Interestingly my version of Nero doesn't offer that slow speed, only 10x. So I downloaded Infrarecorder and burned at 2x. Worked! Thanks guys!

ImgBurn - http://www.imgburn.com/ - is a good free utility that makes burning ISO images very easy under Windows, just right-click on the ISO and select "burn with imgburn", check the options and burn!
