arthurwait
Well the last 2 are certainly more interesting than mine. 2 more lambos and a porsche in convoy heading south on the Bang Na - Chonburi toll again. The above is on red plates so does that mean a dealer imported it ?
VocalNeal
Woah. Ginetta that brings back memories, I used to have a G15. The only G15 with a hatchback.

Spoonman
The above is on red plates so does that mean a dealer imported it ? Red plates just means the excise tax hasn't been paid yet Or it is a new purchase still awaiting white plates to be issued.
arthurwait
Thanks. I thought red plates were dealers own plates. If personally imported how do you get them ?
billd766
I know it's not a car but a few days ago on the Bang Na Trat highway I saw a full size Ford F250 pick up and it was on yellow plates. My wife is mean as she wouldn't buy it for me.
Spoonman
Thanks. I thought red plates were dealers own plates. If personally imported how do you get them ? Who said it was personally imported, maybe a dealer imported it or maybe as you say it is dodgy with no taxes paid but the blanket statement you made was categorically false and implies all vehicles on red plates have not paid taxes. I was just trying to workout if they had a dealer here, I don't know of one so wondered how you would have red plates and I didn't say anything about taxes. Just like having dealer plates in any other country. Allows a dealer to drive a vehicle to for example: on motor vehicle other than a motorcycle or motor-assisted bicycle for purposes related to the repair, road testing, customization or modification of the vehicle, if the vehicle is in the possession of the person to whom the service plate is issued, or for the purpose of transporting the vehicle by a person engaged in the business of transporting vehicles, or

cycloneJ
^ thankyou, now I'll have to find out more info, have a starting point. I thought maybe they were an Asian-produced model, old Daihatsu etc, but now I know I saw a newspaper item, maybe last year or the one before, on a private museum/collection of small/micro cars in the Bangkok region, maybe these came from there
