They will not ask either of you to show a return ticket if you have tourist visas.

Did you get your tourist visas in Hanoi? How did your Filipino GF go at NAIA when leaving without a return ticket. I had problems recently leaving Manila as they insisted that she have a return ticket which she didn't.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, we got our tourist visas here in Hanoi. It was pretty simple. We went through a travel agent here and they took care of it in 2 days. NAIA was a nightmare. It has been everytime we've been there. They are very strict about letting Filipinos out of the country. The last time (6 months ago) I was not with her and she did not have a return ticket. She had a cheap onward ticket to KL on Air Asia which is all that the Viet Immigration requires. The Philippine Immigration would not let her leave. She missed her flight, which she was able to re-schedule for the following day and I wired her the money from Hanoi to buy a return ticket which she has not yet used. They are pretty tough in Manilla!
