Europe Braces for Escalation: Germany Mobilizes NATO Troops Amid Putin's Nuclear Threats
You don't seem to understand. How is being dead in your best interest? States act in their best interest but also have to realize when that "best interest" no longer comports with reality. Ending humanity is not in anyone's best interest. It's abut recognizing how powerful your opponent is. Or recognizing if they are behaving rationally. Western leaders have lost the plot. They actually believe their own nonsense, and that's dangerous for the millions of people who simply want to continue living their lives. The only way you win is to not play the game. -

Should I buy a condo or rent?
You want to buy a condo in a place that you cannot legally be a permanent resident and live daily at the beck and call of any new thai laws ? Go ahead, its your money. Would I ever sell my UK house and buy here ? Not a chance, I may be foolish but I am not an idiot. My advice would always be buy a property in your home country if you can and rent it out for both income and a safe haven if it all goes bits up here -

Trump Selects Johns Hopkins Surgeon Makary to Lead FDA who argued against COVID lockdowns
I am amazed that so many people "do not believe" the statistics the first Trump administration declared after the Covid outbreak.Yes of course we cannot trust The World Health Organisation or Johns Hopkins University they have things to hide. There are none so BLIND than he who will not see. If you cannot win the arguement blame the statistics. -

Thailand's Auto Production at Lowest Level Since 2021 Pandemic
There are lots of reasons why the auto industry in Thailand is in trouble, lets do a list: 1. People are swamped in debt. 2. Banks etc. simply aren't lending on big ticket items like cars and houses like they used to through fear of NPLs. 3. Thailand is swamped with high quality repo or almost new second hand cars that are stacked up along every road for sale. 4. Electric cars are not the panacea we were led to believe, and they are a few problems... - such as cheap Chinese quality - expensive repairs - battery technology is going to change soon from liquid litium to solid fuel batteries, and good luck if you get stuck with a liquid one after that - price of electricity is ever rising plus still too little charging infrastructure - electric vehicles are still expensive, whereas ICE ones aren't - electric vehicles have a bigger carbon footprint to make than ICE cars do... take a while to offset that - still not enough government incentives/subsidies to convince many to change - replacing a EV battery might cost you a 150k baht after a few years - buying a second EV is for the crazy folks, especially here 5. Price of ICE second hand cars plummeting. 6. Oil/gasoline/diesel power isn't going away anything soon. 7. People are putting off purchases and saving in many places as they are simply not confident about the future... it's often called "sentiment". 8. Governments, not just here, everywhere are making a tax grab on folks and business. People don't like it and hide their money instead of spending it. There's probably more but can't be bothered to list them.... that's enough for starters. -

X Twitter - out to lunch?
I read X in my Firefox Developer browser daily. I can also login and read it in Opera. However, I delete the X cookie on Firefox, it won't let me log back in with Firefox for a couple of days. I then switch to Opera, which still has the cookie. I also get reference to X support, but I've never used it. I also read somewhere that deleting all cookies and cleaning the cache could enable immediate re-login, but doesn't work for me. It's kinda like the key to not divorcing: stay married. That is, don't logout. Preserve that X cookie!
