Issues With Yahoo! Messenger

Featured Replies

Anyone else got this problem. I get disconnected every 10 or 15 minutes, it's really annoying. I need to exit the application completelly and then start again, otherwise it won't connect again :o

Forgive me, not re this, but how did you finally resolve your ADSL connectivity /modem issues?

I didn't. I just bought a Belking which is somehow blocking some websites and applications like MSN and Windows update or FlashGet, the only working solution I've found is to use the True Internet proxies. I guess I'll just buy a wireless router from True and get it done. It comes with warranty, free tech support, plus, maybe the customer service from True know it's issues by mind.

alex, if you have yahoo mail and messenger open at the same time, you will find that the new mail program will allow you to use messenger from the mail screen - meaning that messenger will close down in the separate window as you will have it on your mail window.

its a new service that they have only just introduced.

so the obvious solution (if the above is true) is to close down mail and only open messenger.

I had that problem a while back. If I remember correctly, it was a firewall/proxie problem.
