Education ministry takes steps to address teacher debt problem

A Royal Thai Air Force F-16 fighter jet crashed while on a training flight in the north-eastern province of Chaiyaphum this afternoon (Tuesday), but the pilot managed to eject safely, according to Spokesperson for the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) Air Vice Marshal Prapas Sornchaidee.

Fingerprinting process used to determine source of new oil film in sea off Laem Charoen beach

Officials from Thailand’s Pollution Control Department (PCD) and Marine and Coastal Resources Department have collected samples from a film of oil floating in the sea near Laem Charoen beach, in Rayong province, to be tested using an oil fingerprinting technique to determine the source of the latest spill, said PCD Director-General Attapol Charoenchansa today (Tuesday).

Eight men sentenced to four years for police cadets’ deaths following bungled parachute jump

Four police officers and four civilians were sentenced to four years in prison today (Tuesday), without suspension, after they were found guilty of gross negligence by the Criminal Court for Corruption and Misconduct Cases Region 7, over the deaths of two police cadets and injuries to three others during a parachute training jump eight years ago.

A pickup truck carrying eight people, most construction workers, in the bed crashed on Motorway 7 in Sri Racha this morning (March 8th). Two people had sustained severe injuries including a twelve-year-old boy.
