Thailand’s Basic Education Commission admits online learning had never worked well, says new school year will begin normally in May

Bangkok –  The Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) insisted on school’s first semester nationwide starting on May 15th, 2022, as online courses had gradually affected children’s reading and writing abilities.

Six illegal migrants killed, five seriously injured in road accident in Prachuap Khiri Khan

Six illegal migrant workers from Myanmar were killed and twelve others injured, five seriously, when a pickup truck in which they were travelling crashed into a roadside barrier and was then rammed from behind by a van in Thailand’s southern province of Prachuap Khiri Khan.

Livestock Dept Affirms Support for Royal Cattle Buffalo Bank

Seven Thai students charged with assault in university hazing death

Seven university students have, so far, been charged with assault causing the death of another person in a fatal university hazing ritual, involving students from Rajamangala University of Technology Isan, said Chief of Nakhon Ratchasima’s Maroeng police station Pol Col Kanasanan Suwannasup, today (Wednesday).

Thai court stays order for ฿25.7bn baht compensation payment to Hopewell

The Central Administrative Court has stayed the execution of a court injunction, upheld by the Supreme Administrative Court, ordering the Thai Transport Ministry and State Railway of Thailand to pay Hopewell (Thailand) 25.7 billion baht in compensation, for breach of contract.

Police crackdown on fake medical, educational certificate gang

The Consumer Protection Police Division (CPPD) and the Health Service Support (HSS) Department announced a crackdown on gangs specialising in falsifying medical and educational certificates today (Wednesday), including those selling fake PCR test certificates to the public, to be used for job applications or overseas travel.

UCEP Plus Starts for Yellow, Red-Coded COVID Patients only

BANGKOK, March 16 (TNA) – The Public Health Ministry started its UCEP (Universal Coverage for Emergency Patients) Plus scheme to pay for COVID-19 treatment for yellow and red-coded patients at all public and private hospitals while green-coded ones must depend on their normal health welfare.
