Second autopsy report on drowned actress expected in two weeks

Thailand’s well-known forensic expert, Khunying Porntip Rojanasunan, said today that a report from the second autopsy on drowned TV actress Nida Patcharaveerapong, aka “Tangmo”, may be available in two weeks and is expected to be in the same line of the first autopsy, as she dismissed widespread doubts about the initial autopsy performed by the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the Police General Hospital.

Thailand drops pre-departure RT-PCR tests for overseas arrivals, allows Songkran celebrations

The Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has agreed to cancel the requirement for pre-departure RT-PCR tests for international arrivals, effective from April 1st, and is to allow some celebrations to take place during the Songkran festival in mid-April, according to CCSA Spokesman Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin.

Two million capsules of Molnupiravir received by Thai Medical Services

The Thai Department of Medical Services took delivery of two million capsules, or 50,000 courses, of Molnupiravir anti-viral medicine today (Friday) from Merck and Ridgeback Biotherapeutics, the joint developers and manufacturers of the COVID-19 treatment.

Songkran Festival Allowed with Some Restrictions

BANGKOK, March 18 (TNA) – The Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration allowed water splashing activities during the Songkran festival only at specific areas, adjusted COVID-19 control zones and extended the state of emergency for disease control purposes for two months.
