I am going to Suan Plu today to apply for an extension to my Non Imm B visa based on marriage. Been married for 13 years, but for the past two years have been on a work permit. Have 640 k in bank.

Do you think I'll be OK?

Money in the bank is no longer acceptable for new applications, as yours seems to be?

You have to show a family income of 40K per month.

You need proof of 40k monthly family income; and the wife. Without either of those I do not believe you will be successful. The money in the bank can not be used for extension of stay under the new rules.

Look at the pinned items at the top of this forum. Select the one with government orders and such. Click on the National Police Office Order 606/2006 (your choice of language/translations from external official sites) and read the applicable para information for the type of extension you request - for Thai wife 40k income it is 7.17 (6)

Governments make rules and laws........

They do not need to explain why, not in this part of the world.
