Bluedragon Lottery to Cease Operations by April 2

BANGKOK (NNT) - Bluedragon Lottery Company, a major online government lottery ticket vendor, has announced that it will stop operating from April 2 onwards until further notice.

 

The company’s president, Pachara Metsiyaporn, made the announcement online on Sunday evening. He said the company will still sell tickets and offer the prize redemption service for the April 1 rotation, adding that physical tickets can also be collected after the date.

 

He also reiterated that lottery tickets sold by his company exist in both digital and physical formats.

Pachara further noted that the company’s other services are still on track, including amulets, charms and fortune telling, along with future projects such as mobile noodle vendors, metaverse projects and NFTs.

Police earlier raided the company’s headquarters and seized 2 million lottery tickets after it was found to have sold overpriced tickets via its online platform.

 

The operation was launched after police were tipped off that the company had purchased more than 2 million tickets from quotas allocated to officially licensed vendors. It then offered the tickets on its own platform, which distorted the lottery price mechanism and drove costs above the 80-baht government price ceiling.

The company is not the only one selling overpriced lottery tickets....100 baht is the average, with tickets at 120 baht and 5 for 600 or 700 baht.  2 for 300 baht for the supposed better numbers...the whole lottery is a big cheat.

It has become much more difficult to find tickets being sold for 80 baht.

found a vendor this morning on my walk they were the ones with the number sequence ending in 00 to 09.......
