snoop1130
Spending by the public during the long Songkran holiday next week is projected to be the lowest in a decade, because consumers are tending to be more careful due to concerns over the price increases of oil and consumer products, according to the forecast by the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce ‘s (UTCC) Centre for Economic and Business Forecasting. The UTCC conducted a survey of the expected spending behaviour during Songkran and discovered from the responses that they plan to spend about half of what they did last year, due to their concerns over the higher cost of living. Popular Post HappyExpat57
Few people have an abundance of expendable income (THANK you Thai Pass for stopping the majority of tourists for entering Thailand) so this is really a no brainer.
Popular Post Nickelbeer
Without the stupid water and powder throwing, the country may collapse. Pre-Covid, I used to leave the country for Cambodia during Songkran. Zero tolerance for taking a shower with my clothes on. 1

I suspect there is approx 70 million people in Thailand that would answer the same as you and the survey is bogus. 2020 Songkran was cancelled and substitution days were scheduled later in the year. Not a chance did people spend more in 2020 than what they will this year.
