Thailand considers further easing restrictions on international arrival from May

The Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has approved, but only in principle, to ease more restrictions on international arrivals, tentatively from May, according to CCSA Spokesman Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin.

Advisor to the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) Dr. Udom Kachinthorn, claimed Friday that actual daily infections at present may be around 100,000 and this may increase during and after the long Songkran holiday next week, as more people gather together.

Bangkok – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Thai Airways International (THAI) and THAI Smile Airways (THAI Smile) to stimulate tourism growth from India, which is one of Thailand’s important source market for visitor arrivals.

Phuket woman to attempt to climb 6,419m Himalayan peak to raise funds for stray animals

Fears growing that Covid may yet derail plans to reopen fully to foreign tourism from July 1st next

On Friday, Prime Minister Prayut Chan ocha (right) chaired a meeting of the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) which deferred a decision on a proposal to replace RT-PCR testing on arrival in Thailand with an antigen test until after the Songkran holiday. It follows gloomy comments by the Prime Minister, earlier this week, in which he warned that the war against COVID-19 was far from won.
