funkykyle
I am a UK citizen currently applying for the NON-OA VIsa, I have applied for Thai insurance that covers the 3 million baht, However, for question 10 which i need to provide supporting evidence. 10 . Foreign Insurance Certificate as stipulated by the Office of Insurance Commission and Health Insurance of Thailand, which must be completed, signed and stamped by the insurance company. The form can be downloaded from https://longstay.tgia.org Do I also need a "foreign insurance certificate"? Am I able to just submit the Thai insurance which I applied for as a supporting document? Wondering if anyone has been through this and could help me.
Popular Post ubonjoe
If you have insurance from a Thai company the foreign insurance certificate is not required. All you need is proof of your insurance from the Thai insurance company that issued it.
blackcab
@ubonjoe is proof of Thai social fund coverage accepted in the same way it is for a Thai Pass?
Popular Post ubonjoe
Just now, blackcab said: @ubonjoe is proof of Thai social fund coverage accepted in the same way it is for a Thai Pass? It will not be accepted for a Non-OA visa application or the extension of a entry from one. 2
bangkok19
I'm doing the same thing.. and recently asked the same question to the Thai Consulate in Sydney AND Canberra (via email). They both gave me the same conflicting/confusing answer - telling me to download the list of approved Thai Insurers to use, and ALSO to fill out the Foreign Insurance Certificate. For me, the way they list the Visa requirements is confusing. There should be a big "OR" in between the paragraphs Thai Insurance Company and Foreign Insurance Company (requiring that appropriate Certificate). Then again, what do you expect!????
