The Ministry of Finance’s Fiscal Policy Office (FPO) slashed its economic growth projection for 2022 down to 3.5 per cent on Wednesday, citing consequences of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Patong hotel operators plead with Thai government to delay full land tax rate for two years

Patong — Patong hotel operators in Patong pleaded with the government to delay a full land tax rate for two years, saying they will not be able to pay at least until the end of this year due to a still-unrecovered tourism.

Thailand’s Civil Aviation Authority issues latest measures for air travel, effective May 1st

National – The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has issued a NOTAM (Notice to Air Missions) to inform airlines around the world of the latest measures for air travel to Thailand, starting May 1st, following the government announcement of easing arrival measures last Friday.

Mystery piece of metal washes up on Thai beach - media speculates it's a piece of a Chinese rocket

Thai Rath reported that local officials in the Laem Talum Phuk area of Nakhon Sri Thammarat in the south of Thailand had found a large piece of what appears to be the fairing of a rocket.

‘Thailand Pass’ to stay, PM to oversee situation after end of “Test and Go”

The Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) will not scrap the “Thailand Pass” scheme, as has been widely anticipated, but will shorten the registration process for overseas tourists applying to enter Thailand as the “Test and Go” one-night quarantine scheme for the fully vaccinated is scheduled to come to an end on May 1, CCSA assistant spokesperson Sumanee Wacharasint said today (Thursday).
