National Task Force against COVID-19 MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines registered 1,399 new COVID-19 cases and verified 215 deaths from April 25 to May 1, the Department of Health said Monday. The daily case average during that period was 200, which was 5% lower than a week earlier. The DOH has recorded more than 3.68 million COVID-19 infections since the pandemic started in 2020.
