Vietnam records the first day without Covid deaths in 282 days

For the first time since July 25 2021, Vietnam has recorded no new daily Covid-19 deaths on Tuesday.

 

The country recorded 2,709 new infections on Tuesday, bringing the total infection tally in the fourth wave to 10,516,539.

 

The three localities with the highest numbers of new cases are Hanoi with 711 cases, Phu Tho with 242 cases, and Yen Bai with 147 cases.

 

The total coronavirus death toll so far is 43,047 cases.

 

80.4 percent of the population have been fully vaccinated, while 58 percent have received their third Covid-19 vaccine shots.
