98 Myanmar illegals found sleeping in Prachuap woods - they paid up to 25K for the privilege of working in Thailand

Thai Rath reported that the Surasi special task force along with immigration police and other authorities found a large group of illegal Myanmar immigrants sleeping in the woods in Prachuap Khirikhan province at 2 am.

 

There were 98 people - 58 men and 40 women. The discovery was made in Koh Lak sub-district of Muang district. 

 

The Myanmar people were waiting for transport.

They all had their temperature checked - no one was over 37.5C.

 

The illegal immigrants said they came from four provinces in Myanmar and were being taken to jobs in Bangkok, Samut Sakhon, Chonburi, Prachuap and Phetchaburi.

 

They had paid between 20,000 and 25,000 baht to come and work in Thailand. 

 

They were all detained by the authorities.

How many company owners have been prosecuted for hiring illegals?

To whom?? The Thai Border Agency Police, Thai Immigration Police or Thai Government Agents!!!
