Per the OP:

Edit: I see your distinction - plants can have more than 0.2% THC, but products made from the plant can’t have more than 0.2% THC. However, if a plant has more than 0.2% THC, if you use it, that’s illegal.

    Hemp makes excellent rope. Nylon makes excellent rope. DuPont makes nylon. DuPont lobbies to get Hemp/Marajiuana classified as narcotic. If my memory serves me (and it might not) this was 1936.
