Thai baht

Featured Replies

Hi,,,,I have some spare Thai baht,,,,I'm going home next week,,,,should I change it to UK pounds here or wait untill back in the UK,,,,

Change here I would think, SuperRich fx 42.95 bht to the pound today.

Others might know, if you dont change your Thai baht to sterling cash and simply use a Thai debit card for purchases and ATM withdrawals back in the UK will the exchange rate be horrendous or just the current for example Kasikorn bank FX rate at the time.?

SuperRich at the airport basement is the best place to go before you leave, head there first

The OP will get a much better exchange rate here, although he should bear in mind things like departure taxes.

Ah that one.  I think it was THB700 when they changed it around 2007 to be included in the ticket.

I think it depends on who one books the flight with. Agents usually put it in, some airlines don't when booking directly.

I haven't used an agent for more than a decade, why should I pay someone to do something I can do easily myself?

You will get  a better rate here of course but why not just spend it at the airport on Thai stuff to take home if its less than a thousand

There are non anymore - not like the old days when you  had to pay in cash/BC. Now all such payments  are incorporated into ticketing etc
