Drunk husband in classic sobriety test fail at Buriram police station - he'd been arguing with the missus

Daily News reported on a classic sobriety test fail at Nang Rong police station in Buriram, north eastern Thailand.

 

Medics at Nang Rong hospital had called the police after a man - named only as "A" - was making trouble at the entrance.

 

He claimed he wasn't drunk and was taken away. 

 

Officers made him try and walk straight down the cracks in the ceramic flooring.

 

He staggered all over the place before almost collapsing and thumping his head.

Enough was enough for the police. They put him in the cells until he had sobered up.

 

He said later that he had been fishing with his wife behind the hospital when they had a big argument and she ran off. 

 

He thought she had taken refuge in the hospital and went there to try and make up to her. 

 

He was charged with being drunk and disorderly and was fined.

 

Daily News didn't report how much.
