Thai police teaching students to respect the Highway Code - cops get kids to paint "safe" Zebra Crossing

Featured Replies

1; How about the Police learn what they are supposed to be teaching...The Highway code, they have no respect for the Highway code too.. Maybe because they dont know it ..

2; Using Child Labour  instead of paying    Government   Labour.

3; Why not use correct  road sign paint instead of cheap  Emulsion which will wear off in a month

  • To go through a pedestrian crossing in Thailand you need to put your faith in god and the skills of a bull fighter in  Spanish Corrida dodging motorbikes and cars...

Apparently three kids were slightly injured as they painted these zebra crossings........ by drivers failing to stop.

Zebra crossings are death traps. In Thailand, zebra crossings are only safe if a sufficiently large crowd crosses the street together. Crossing a crosswalk alone as a pedestrian is suicidal.

'Safe' Zebra crossing..... now there is an oxymoron for Thailand.

I was trying to cross 3rd Rd and felt better away from these devices, that seem to incite drivers.

Actually Zebra crossings are good for one thing. To tell you where NOT to cross the road.

and never see a zebra

My cousin says that Zebra Crossings in Thailand are designated Ambulance pick up points, a bit like bus stops for ambulances. Casualties are usually waiting for them to take to hospital.

Itts not the pedestrians and children who need to be taught it's the stupid road users who won't stop.

My daughter's school the parents park over the zebra crossing sometimes two deep, meant for the kids to cross the busy main road bunch of lazy b******ds.
