Muang district police in Phrae in northern Thailand were called by the director of a special needs school after the body of a 12 year old was found in a male dormitory.

It is thought that the boy was attacked by a boy or boys aged 16, reported Thai Rath.

Twenty children - all with learning difficulties, hearing disabilities or other handicaps sleep in the dorm.

Kluayping, 12, was face up with blood at the mouth. There were signs of dragging in blood on the floor.

An argument was heard at 1 am but due to the late hour nothing was done. The body was discovered when staff went to get the pupils for breakfast.

Police said it was a "strange" death and their investigations would be difficult due to the disabilities of those involved.

It happened at the Phrae Panyanukul special needs school in Na Chak.

So a disturbance was heard.  But because it was late nothing was done?  That’s a reason? It’s a dorm with a combination of young children and teenagers in it.  With learning disabilities not known to what extent. It should have been monitored around the clock .

Sue the school and responsible parties? How long have you lived in Thailand?

I have a mentally challenge brother he is the love of my life!  He is in a great facility group home personnel who are train, accountable, treat him as family allows me to sleep, I've visited facilities here even as a volunteer some are OK,  majority are shameful, leaders are ignorant trillions are spent on needless projects like roads while much needed services and training is neglected yet praying is their main priority here.  I guess asking for forgiveness is easier than doing the right thing.
