Siam Rath went to investigate after a woman went online to say that tiny white worms - a bit like tapeworms - were crawling out of the pores in her skin.

Phin, 27, from Ban Wang Phra-ong in Ban Dung said the little critters were so small that you'd hardly notice them.

She said she is a rubber worker and had collected mushrooms to eat from a grassy area. This had created itching that was torture for her.

She solved this by tiger balm and frequent showers - then came the worms. She thought they were probably some kind of insect.

She hoped that doctors would be able to suggest the cause and the treatment.

Siam Rath didn't make any effort to find out so ASEAN NOW Googled the condition.

We came up with a variety of culprits including guinea worm, hookworms and sandworm.

But the most likely candidate appears to be pinworms that can crawl out of the anus and lay their eggs in human skin.

Maybe an ASEAN NOW resident doctor or dermatologist can enlighten us further.

I would say hookworm, they get in by skin.

Or even the roundworm, Wuchereria bancrofti, which can spread through ... mosquito.

See this site, in India man has 15 cm ! long worm in his eye, they took it out.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-6265093/15cm-long-parasitic-worm-removed-eye.html

As Britmantoo said: Ivermectin injection will fix it. 6 mg/kg/day for 12 days.

Amazing to see about 120 million people globally have worms and they can cause lots of problems with your body.

The pinworm gets in by mouth and laying eggs around the anus, which causes itching.

Those are the worms, your pet can have.

You see those "lovely" movies where the dog is scraping with his butt over the ground, yes  it has worms and spreading eggs around.

It may look funny, but the dog has a reason, itch by worms.

Butt scraping can be caused by many reason, common one irritation/inflammation of anal glands.

Simple google search shows this could be face mites.... https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2019/05/21/725087824/meet-the-mites-that-live-on-your-face#:~:text=It might give you the,see with the naked eye.

What is scary is after reading the article. it means all of you p__syfoots crying about losing your meal from the photo... That you most likely have them also haha... Just some people may have more than others. and some can be seen clearly in the video shown in the link.. It looked the same as the photo that woman took. So everyone get your glue and glass slide and follow their method how to pull those little buggers out...

YES — When we reach adulthood we all of us are infected with DEMODEX to

varying degrees. In extreme cases they will drive you (really) round the bend.

These microscopic little %#@?'s will take over your life and torment the Hell

out of you - (that's if what is/should be a "normal" bodily occurrence turn

into a full blown Nightmare!

The young Australian lady in the YouTube clip most definitely does not

come across to me as a fruit cake (read all of the comments, too).

ALL comments are Welcome .. .. ..

Just gotta love the new slant of this story; Detailed analysis of butt scraping.

Opinions are like belly buttons - everyone's got one......... even me, so it seems.

However I have none regarding butt scraping!
