Advice Please - Importing From China

My girlfriend and her friend are looking into importing products from china for sale in thailand, in the fashion acc area. Has anybody here have previous experience importing from china? positives or negatives, any information would be much appreciated.

I had a product manufactured and sent stateside from China with no problems. All the way from the prototype stage to thousands per shipment. I have not imported from China to Thailand, but don't see major issues if the product and price are right. Has she checked with customs?

I would think for fashion accessories, especially if just getting started, that local manufacture would be better. Then, the quality could be monitored. If it is for an existing item, I would make sure she purchases a few first to make sure that she is satisfied with the item before buying hundreds or thousands. Good luck.
