Android app updates won't work. how?

Featured Replies

Just got a new Android OneTel phone, the apps have been updating for 5 hours, but nothing's happening.

Tried restarting the phone, but no luck, its always hanging.

Never had this with a phone before,
I've installed android and apps 30 times without a problem.

Any ideas how to fix this?

The apps are pending
Tried cancelling then downloading again, still pending.

Thanks

Sounds like data may be a problem, sometimes apps only update if you are using WiFi so try that

Its doing so over fast wifi.

I'm not sure if its trying to update over 5G, I don't have a sim card in the phone, but this has never been a problem before.

Not sure where in Android to check this.

All else on phone is OK.

thanks

Make sure Google Play itself is fully up to date...

How to update the Google Play Store

Open the Google Play Store app .

At the top right, tap the profile icon.

Tap Settings  About  Play Store version.

You’ll get a message that tells you if the Play Store is up to date. Tap Got it.

If an update is available, it will automatically download and install in a few minutes.

I've checked Playstore settings, downloads by any network, wifi or phone.

For some reason the apps just won't update or download.

PlayStore is up to date.

thanks

Have you tried Googling the issue? Much more likely to be solved there -than here. Be brand and model specific in your search. Chok Dee.
