Women's Football - Danielle van de Donk scored the winner as defending champions the Netherlands survived a huge scare to defeat Portugal 3-2 and go top of Group C at Euro 2022 and teenage substitute Hanna Bennison scored the winning goal as Sweden overcame Switzerland 2-1 to earn their first victory of the tournament. 

English Premier League side Chelsea have confirmed the signing of England forward Raheem Sterling from Manchester City in a £50m deal. Sterling, 27, has signed a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge.

Mesut Ozil's contract with Turkish side Fenerbahce has been terminated by mutual consent.The 33-year-old joined Fenerbahce on a free transfer in January last year  and was contracted to the Turkish Super Lig side until 2024.

Rugby League -  Queensland won a brutal State of Origin decider against New South Wales on Brisbane home turf, to give rookie head coach Billy Slater a first series win. 22 -12 was the score.
