Police in Bangkok have made a quick arrest after several seats and other items went missing from the Rajamangala stadium following the Manchester United vs Liverpool friendly match last Tuesday.

 

A woman called Kenika Rattanainthachai, 34, had attended the match and took a liking to the merchandise.

 

So she returned with a guy and stole 4 fancy red seats, a poster of Jackson Wang, 13 cheaper seats and 100 seat covers, reported Daily News.

 

It was all caught on CCTV and led to her arrest at business premises in Thung Khru on Monday and a charge of theft using a conveyance.

 

In an attempt at mitigation the woman said she was being treated for mental illness and she was attracted to things she liked.

Winit Lertrattanachai, an organiser who alerted Hua Mark police, thought it ran deeper than that and that someone had paid her to get the seats.

 

They are worth 100,000 baht each to collectors. 

 

A picture showed that at least three of the red seats had been slashed with a knife damaging the cushions. 

 

Investigations continue.

I have a serious twenty-year old Thai girl mental illness then that my wife is not helping me get treatment for !
