those attempting to comprehend "modern" thai buddhism, may get some insight from "SIDDHAM script", which comprises the SEED CHARACTERS of the various BUDDHAS. this alphabet was said to have been taught by Sakyamuni and kept secret until(c200) who passed it on. food for thought.

I've never seen this script in a Thai Buddhist context. In Japan it is common on Shingon (True Word) Buddhist gorinto, a sort of small stupa.

Shingon is the Japanese version of Vajrayana Buddhism. The Siddam inscription on this stupa, a, va, ra ha and kha, is an abbreviated or 'seed' form of mantras invoking the five Jina Buddhas of Vajrayana Buddhism.
