lelapin
Is it recommended to clear cache and browsing history if using Microsoft Edge? If so, how frequently and what is the best way to do it?
The Hammer2021
Well it depends. You can use free cleaners like CC cleaner. Or choose another one from file hippo or other sites. I'm a big believer in clearing out cookies everyday but it depends on what sites you've been visiting. I don't want third party cookies or tracking cookies in my system. I don't want thumbnails from porn sites or any sites. So I clear my cache regularly and have been since the 90s. You can clear your cache via your browser setting including history and privacy settings. The disadvantage is that you will be signed out of some sites as you have deleted the cookies that remember your sign in credentials. Many browsers now have a setting to wipe you tracks on browser close down. I use Firefox and Duck Duck Go
BigStar
Ccleaner. Get the Slim version and even then avoid the option to install another browser. But go to the Chrome web store and get stuff like Do Not Track Cookie Cleaner Cookie Autodelete Clear Cache Click&Clean
The Hammer2021
I would suggest don't use edge or chrome. Duck Duck Go is optimised for security
userabcd
In edge browser settings privacy You can set the search engine to duckduckgo. You can set delete history and cookies by checking all boxes, be careful as there are passwords maybe if you need, to keep that unchecked. You can also toggle on delete all history and cookies upon exit Toggle on block all third party cookies. Put the history button up on the top toolbar where it is easily accessible. Can then easily delete history and cookies as frequently as you want. Install addons ublock origin, https everywhere, privacy badger, adguard and configure the blocking sections.
