webfact Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 Thai Rath reported on a natural tragedy in Thailand's oldest national park, Khao Yai in the north east. Following many days of monsoonal rains rivers and klongs were flooded. In one area it is believed that a small elephant got into trouble crossing a swollen waterway and was helped by its mother. Tragically both were swept away and subsequently fell over the Haew Narok waterfall to their deaths. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2022-07-29 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Popular Post Wuvu2 Posted July 29, 2022 Popular Post Posted July 29, 2022 This happens ever couple of years during rainy season. A few years ago 11 elephants were lost in one incident. The horrific thing is that it's a man made tragedy. There is a staircase trail for people to get below the waterfall. Unfortunately the rails are not elephant sized, so the elephants can no longer use that trail. The elephants have died trying to find another path to traverse the waterfall. 1 2
