I'm Taiwanese, so basically I need to apply visa almost everywhere in the world. Here is my situation and I really need someone to help me out.

I plan to visit my friend in Bangkok many times in the next 3 months (till September, but only for weekends:fly to bangkok on friday night and come back in the sunday afternoon) Unfortunately, I only can apply single entry turist visa in Taiwan, the only avaible one for me since I just visit my friend and dont have any supporting document. and I dont get what is double, triple entry visa?? Thailand officials here just told me they only have one type...

So here comes to multi-reentry permit which is a bit confusing. I know that it costs 3800bht and can be applied at the airport after entering into the country, needs two photos and a formTM8? (do they have it there?) does it take a LONG time to get it? as I spent more than two hours on my visa on arrival last time. :-(

Another thing is, how long is the multi-reentry valid? 3 months? or can I choose? for example, if I fly on 6/30 back to Taiwan on 7/1, will it still be valid till my next flight on 7/28 to Bangkok? and how many reentry can I have? since I'm also planning to go to Myammar some weekend.. (will be taiwan-bangkok-myammar-bangkok-taiwan)

Forgive my ignorance, but please could anyone help me out with these?

1. You have several options - the 30 day tourist visa entry or the 15 day visa on arrival entry.

2. A re-entry permit only keeps your current permitted to stay time alive - so if you enter on a tourist visa July 1 you would have a permitted to stay until 30 July in your passport. The re-entry permit would allow entry/exit up until that date only - it would not extend that date.

3. You can obtain a re-entry permit after check-in for flight in the immigration area (before the departure check). You need 4x6cm photos and they are not available at airport. As you will not be able to use more than two or three weekend returns in a 30 day period you would be better to buy a new one each time at 1,000 baht. Entry after July 30 will require a new tourist visa or a visa on arrival. It should not take more than 15-20 minutes to obtain but be sure to check in early.
