My ex looked just like her; perhaps a little darker.

 

Her name was Fatima and she liked to sit by the window. On the other hand I am 2 metres tall with long legs, so I preferred the isle seat.

 

On one flight to Gambia there were three side-of-isle seats. We held hands all the way, except when food was served. Didn't want to inconvenience the middle passenger.

 

How I miss her.

I bought a unit in Bankstown. An interesting multi-cutural suburb. Perfect for my long term medical treatment, if it ever comes to that. Good shopping and fast transport all over Sydney. Very few "good" suburbs left. They're all inundated with immigrants now. Unless of courses you live amongst the boring religious snobs in their McMansions somewhere like the Hills district!

If she booked the seat and someone else is in the seat, she should have calmly

showed her ticket to the flight attendant and had the airline sort it out.

  Getting unruly is just not the way to go. Better luck next flight.

I'd say she's not a frequent flyer, unaware of the seating and how the seats are numbered. 

 

If she was issued a window seat at check-in the hostess would have moved anyone that was occupying that seat.

I used to prefer a window seat and loved looking down on our beautiful planet but, needing to pee so often now, an 'aisle seat' is essential for long haul...555.

It is horrendous that nobody offered to swap the seat with her and forced her to get off the plane.

 

If I had a window seat, I would have swapped with her because I prefer an aisle seat.

IMHO Rule #1 on flights is to not get involved with any conflict.    So if a kid thinks it's fun to kick the back of my seat, I simply  turn on the  light for the steward or stewardess and ask them to handle it.    Never failed me yet.

If my child (when he was a toddler) even when near the seat in front I’d pick up the phone (from the arm-rest or seat back entertainment panel) and have a fake call with the Captain.

This worked wonders, but often backfired after landing in the baggage hall, we’d have to wait for the Air-crew to disembark so my son could personally tell the pilots what a good boy he’d been !!...

As far as the Op is concerned... there is no room for ‘d!cks on flights’ I’m all for the slightest bit of misbehaver being dealt with firmly. 

 

I recall being on a flight and warned by the flight attendant that there was a violent drunk man up front....   I asked if the pilot had been notified and was informed that it was because I had a baby with me (who was sleeping) and if the baby woke and cried it could set him off. 

 

I asked, If its that much of a concern why tell me before the pilot ?... surely he should come out and tell the guy to calm down. I didn’t sleep for the remainder of the flight - I gave my son to my Wife and just imagined all the things I would be forced to do if that man came near my Son with any indication of anger or signs of frustration towards him - it was a horrible flight.

 

I asked if anything was going to happen to the man on landing (arrested etc), they said nothing - so I’d just had a flight ruined because of an aggressive drunk guy...  no consequences. 

They should at least ban him from the airline.
