Thai snooker superstar Nutcharat Wongharuthai - known by her nickname of Mink - has won the Women's World Snooker Championship in Sheffield in England.

The World Snooker Tour's official website has announced that next week's World Six Reds World Championship has been cancelled, reports ASEAN NOW.

The popular event last held before the pandemic was due to take place from Monday September 5th to Saturday September 10th in the exhibition hall of Central Plaza Lad Prao.

WST said that "our partners in Thailand have advised us of the postponement and we are working with them on finding new dates."

They added that the postponement was due to circumstances beyond their control.

Stephen Maguire was due to defend the title he won in 2019 and the event was also set to include Thai ladies world snooker champion Nutcharut "Mink" Wongharuthai.
