Down under or Thai? Aussie mum trades Oz for Land of Smiles
Yeah people love to call Australia a nanny state but recent horrific events in Bangkok show it has an upside. People like to talk about the freedom on the roads too - one poster going on recently about long rides at 180 as though it is nothing - give me the Australian Highway Patrol to sort them out thanks. -

Thailand's Oil Reserves Steady Amid Middle East Tensions
The Ministry of Energy has assured the Thai public of the country's solid oil reserves amidst growing tensions in the Middle East. With concerns mounting over the conflict between Israel and Iran possibly affecting oil supplies, Thailand boasts enough reserves to last over 60 days. Weerapat Kiatfuengfu, the Deputy Permanent Secretary and spokesperson for the Ministry, stated that they are meticulously monitoring the situation. This vigilance stems from fears that the conflict could disrupt oil exports, causing price hikes globally. Currently, Thailand holds about 3,365 million litres of crude oil, covering 26 days' worth of consumption. Added to this, there are 2,055 million litres of crude oil in transit, good for 16 days, alongside 2,414 million litres of refined oil, providing an additional 20 days of coverage. Weerapat noted that the Ministry is equipped to stabilise domestic oil prices using the Oil Fuel Fund, which has seen improved liquidity, thus reinforcing the country's preparedness against potential oil shortages and volatile price swings. Thailand recently conducted emergency response drills, coordinating with relevant sectors to mitigate any potential impacts of an energy crisis. These efforts underscore the government's commitment to shielding the public from the conflict's fallout. The price of West Texas Intermediate crude oil recently climbed to US$74 per barrel, marking an increase of over 8% within a week. Despite this, Thailand remains poised to manage its fuel needs effectively. File photo for reference only -- 2024-10-08 -

Spreaders of Conspiracy Theories: Unmasking the Motivations Behind the Lies
I replied to the reply to that one. My comment was addressed to you. Comparing him literally as opposed to comparing him what? Roughly? Vaguely? Allegorically? Indirectly? Approximately? -

Yeah, come to the land of milk and honey. Work-Life-balance is most important. Don't follow those who work 9-5 five days/week and get a good pension. Don't have a clean environment and clean air. Here it's paradise on earth. (Learn your lesson) -

Thai Airways soars with ‘plane’-tastic gourmet menus for all classes
Hmm... nothing good to say at all eh.... Thai Airways food in Eco and Business class is 'meh'... or as per expectations. As far as Business on Qatar Airlines - food is excellent (I was at 35,000 ft eating in QR - Q-Class as recently as last week) IMO - there is very little difference between EK and QR from a food or service perspective. Q-Suites are outstanding... As car as Caviar on a flight - thats a little opulent. I was served that in First (free upgrade) a year or so ago on Qatar Airways... the 'air-lounge' or bar or whatever you want to call it is a nice novelty and EK is better, but I don't even bother sitting in the bar part anymore anyway, its always full of drunks trying to start a conversation !!!... I don't have high expectations of Airlines (even in business class) - as long as the food is decent, tastes nice etc... then I'm happy - I don't expect the food to be Michelin star levels no matter how the airlines wax lyrical about the culinary wonders... Perhaps thats the difference between our replies, my expectations of airline food are not as high as yours. -

Why is the MAGA movement so susceptible to crazy conspiracy theories?
First you say 'they' missed by a few miles' and then you say you won't claim the Dems caused or steered the hurricane. Then who are 'they'? You seem utterly confused and I don't blame you one bit. With all the conspiracy drivel getting pumped out by the loony right it must be hard to keep track of what to say. -

Do they sell Arcalyst here?
On the contrary this link reports post marketing data neely available for the first time. Not underrreported data fom vaccine trials. In addition it indicates similar risk of myocarditis with both conventional and mRNA vacvines. Lsstly, the incidence if all adverse effects mentioned id extremely low. Which is why it has taken a sample size of tens of milliions to measure. -

Harris Lies, Americans Die. Illegal Aliens are more Important
We see what happens almost every day on AseanNow Forums. There's always some Farnag who's either in the country illegally or on an expired visa. They are fined and probably deported. The people we're talking about here, though, are people who have come to the USA for asylum, fleeing some economic or political turmoil in their home country. Their situation, IMO, deserves to be heard before the authorities decide to deport them. I know that's not the majority opinion in the USA, but I favor making immigration as easy as possible, not making it very difficult. -

Going out it is for sure but I find decent Australian beer is better bang for your buck.
