Meanwhile, provincial officials hurriedly installed solar lamps near schools to prevent such danger from recurring. Udon Thani governor Siam Sirimongkol and officials concerned inspected electricity systems in public places and flood-prone areas behind Satirachinuthit School in Udon Thani municipality where a student got an electric shock in rain and floodwater in the evening of Sept 16. Municipal officials was installing at least 40 solar lamps costing 10,000 baht apiece on Sri Chom Chuen Road behind Satirachinuthit, Udon Pittayanukoon and Anuban Udonthani schools to prevent electric shocks on people in times of rains and floods. AsianAtHeart Posted September 21, 2022 Share Posted September 21, 2022 It would have been less expensive to install GFCI breakers. They could have continued using the lights they already had.
