Solar Lamps Installed after Students Got Electric Shocks

UDON THANI, Sept 20 (TNA) – Organizations gave honorary certificates and scholarships to two students who risked their life while rescuing other students hit with electric shocks in floods. Meanwhile, provincial officials hurriedly installed solar lamps near schools to prevent such danger from recurring.


Udon Thani governor Siam Sirimongkol and officials concerned inspected electricity systems in public places and flood-prone areas behind Satirachinuthit School in Udon Thani municipality where a student got an electric shock in rain and floodwater in the evening of Sept 16.

 

Municipal officials was installing at least 40 solar lamps costing 10,000 baht apiece on Sri Chom Chuen Road behind Satirachinuthit, Udon Pittayanukoon and Anuban Udonthani schools to prevent electric shocks on people in times of rains and floods.
