The Thai government is preparing for rain and monsoons between late September and early October, Government deputy spokeswoman Ratchada Thanadirek stated on Thursday, September 22nd.

The deputy spokesperson revealed after the meeting of the Office of the National Water Resources (ONWR) that the office assessed that a tendency of increasing precipitation is likely as well as the fact that a monsoon trough lies across the central and the eastern region, resulting in the increasing amount of water in the central, eastern and the lower northeastern regions.

Moreover, about one or two storms are also predicted to enter Thailand which would cause more rain in early October.

Preparing for more rain.  And doing exactly what, short term?  Sheesh.  What a bunch of morons. Every year it's the same....wait fir monsoon rains then panic about it.

I suspect the preparations involved ordering a very large vinyl board for the PR guff...

If you get extraordinarily large amounts of rain no matter how much you prepare they'll be flooding.

It's better than a drought.

Anything they do is mired in corruption and isn't built well.

Recently there was a report of flood walls built with cardboard and a thin sheen of cement to resemble a decent wall.  Of course it broke and flooded kilometers of land and villages.

This looks like ominous!
