You Thats why you use the powder, for the salt content. You can adjust the amount of powder so it becomes a flavour enhancer, not a base. I dont use salt other than fish sauce or soy sauce. I daresay that all of those tasty Asian dishes we all love have a smidgen of the powder. Hell, they sell it 5 kilos at a pop -

Getting rid of 2nd-hand househhold stuff
A few years ago I donated a bunch of stuff to Father Ray's. A man who lived in the same condo as I dealt with them regularly and told me they will take anything that has any value. It doesn't need to be items that they need. They take the donated items to an auction site and then make some cash to buy stuff they actually need.
