Also in a bad state were the stretch in front of Central Ladprao and outbound Phaholyothin road where the tailback reached Lad Phrao intersection. Popular Post Crossy
I made my escape from the BTS Admin building at about 3PM. No flooding at the time but the heavy rain was just getting going. The rain lashed as far north as Rangsit for a long time leading to localised flooding around the market (which was already somewhat damp from khlong Rangsit anyway). Of course all this extra water hasn't helped with the river flow rate meaning our garden is under water, we really don't need another similar day ???? 6

Popular Post brommers
Very soon we will see the grandiose new parliament building is leaking from the roof and flooded by the Chai Praya. A fitting tribute to the incompetence of choosing the site and the shoddy building standard of Sino Thai. A fitting metaphor for the crowd of idiots who claim to run this country. 8 4
Popular Post Bim Smith
Not just Bangkok. The rice farmers here in Nakhon Sawan have had their crops decimated. What was once green fields of rice are now one huge lake. They need to stop the cloud seeding. Surely the reservoirs are now full. And before anyone thinks that's crazy they recently admitted to doing it when they sold the technology to Indonesia. 1664778926152.mp4 5

kingstonkid
When you have areas that are below or at sea level you will always have flooding The government needs to mandate large reservoirs along major river The joke is not the flooding but that 4 months ago these same people wey complaining about drought
Popular Post Surasak
There have been similar down pours over the past week in Khon Kaen. I am convinced these people believe water runs up hill as over the past 16 years was have had floods of 18in outside our building. About three months ago the 'workers' turned up and took almost 2 weeks to lay a stretch of concrete 50yds long by 6 in deep. The floods are now just as deep and the whole street is floods now. The lake at the top of the road is overflowing and the school is flooded. 1 Km of road is flooded outside the Uni after new drains were laid last year. With the amount of rain this country gets each and every year, one would think these people had some idea of water management, but they are blind to the obvious and wont be told. One day possibly, but not in my time i guess.

Sad really, that no matter what folks have happen to their house or property they never are able to avoid the repeats as houses are never lifted up above flood levels in those prone areas. Crops are decimated and livelihood's lost. I feel sorry for folks.

But the differents with Thailand is the Netherlands made sure that couldn't happen again, that costs money but you have to pay for it. 11 2

worldexpress
It always amazes me how the vehicles manage to drive through the floods. Most cars in the US would stall out at the same water levels. I'm beginning to think the cars are built differently or the Thai drivers know something we don't. ????

weelegs
Unusual flooding up here in Chiang Mai also. Ping River overflowed its banks yesterday. Heavy rain in the city combined with even heavier rain in the Doi Sutep and Cheng Dao watersheds which drain into the Ping; water now on its way to BKK. Gonna get wet, wet down there. It's doesn't connect to the streams at either end and 2. It's not on the side of the road where the water collects and pools
