Vintage Thai is Original Thai Stick Born Again - PrikPot Cannabis

Trying to flog 10 grams for 2490 on a special was asking for trouble. Maybe if you won some accolade somewhere and got your strains recognised or even just resold the thai stick for a fair price. Like just doubling your money on an ounce. Offered 100 pre rolled for 600 baht or even 1 fat J via thai post a week for 100 baht. Anything but trying to rip folks off, could have got the ball rolling on that.

Ive been growing since '91  (with gap years of course)  Studied the best books, grew some righteous weed.  Still learning.

Hope you keep data about your cure times, easy to pull 5 grams at 4, 5, and six months see how they compare.

May I ask where or in what they will be  curing?  Thanks.

Cheers, hope you can share a bit of grow info mixed in with sales pitches, that seems fair.    ????

Sorry, notifications were not coming through, so did not get these messages. We are not the grower, but according to the grower the flowers have been cured in jars. I do think specifics about growing techniques is better in a suitable forum.

Thank you for your input. I don't think the "thai sticks" you bought in California would have any resemblance to our Vintage Thai, simply because it is not grown in the same environment, and it is most probably not based on the same genetics. Also, personal memories are quite subjective and hard to mimic. ????

As for our Dip Trip, this is an experiment in creating a new product, mainly aimed at those who wish to consume cannabis without smoking it. We know the price is a little too high at the moment, but we work on pushing down the production costs. But so far, we have had great reviews and we will continue to develop this product in different varieties (strains) and prices.

Thailand is still in the early stages of all this and we are doing our best to innovate and come up with new products, some will work, some will not. We do however appreciate relevant feedback from our customers so we can adjust and improve, if needed.

The sticks I bought in California were the real thing - smuggled in from Thai/Lao/Cambodia by a well know San Francisco smuggler who's now CEO of a publicly traded weed company.  It sounds like you have no idea what real "Vintage Thai Sticks" were all about - probably because you are too young.

Since you dismissed my judgment, and suggesting my memory of REAL Vintage Thai sticks is some sort of fantasy - let me be honest. The weed PrikPot delivered was total garbage weed that I refused to smoke. I dont' care what you call it... I wouldn't smoke it for free.

Instead of insulting dissatisfied customers - try toning down the BS hype in your promotions. It's completely ridiculous ????

We put on some jungle camo and went in search of the most original of Thai cannabis strains. The results are beyond the wildest dreams of everyone at PrikPot and the experienced smokers among our customer base. Our online shelves are now stocked with weed that embodies everything legendary that came out of the Southeast Asian cannabis scene during the Vietnam War Era.

We are happy to introduce you to Vintage Thai. A strain that takes true dedication to produce, involving five months of growing followed by six months of curing. Buy Vintage Thai here:

To be clear, the term Thai Stick does not refer to a particular strain, but a packaging method that involved compressing cannabis around thin bamboo sticks, wrapping it in cannabis fan leaves and securing it with string/thread. Technically, any cannabis can be packed using the Thai Stick technique, but we were not seeking the aesthetics of that era.

We wanted the real thing.

Our efforts led us to original seeds from the 60s, and with them we have produced cannabis that is:

● The original Thai strain that popularized Thai Stick

● A native landrace 100% Sativa

● Grown for 5 months and then cured for 6 months

● Grown organically in Chiang Mai

Smoking or consuming Vintage Thai brings on a rapid high that feels invigorating and full, likely to make you look at the label again to check you really saw 18% THC concentration written there.

We couldn’t believe it either. Vintage Thai is a beautiful and enjoyable Sativa whose innocuous appearance and relative lack of aroma hide its quality effects.

Hello Prik Pot, is there any chance of seeing a flowering plant that the thai flower in your picture comes from please. Im a big fan of the old thai stick lines. Despite what some of the farmers claim now there were actually different thai types that were made up as thaistick batches. The old masters that were breeding the thai genetics used at the time were very very good at what they did, and new how to get the very best out of the genetics they had and were able to pull different high quality types out of the different landrace types they had access to. Over the years ive seen people colllect seeds from distinctly different thaistick and lose and compresed batches going back to the late 1950's upto 1984-5 and maintain them in their separate forms. Ive seen some of these from the time of their collection and maintained up untill modern times and there have been a number of unique different types. Some of the 50s and 60s types gave giant pollypoloid cambodian types and giant bambo golden thai types, pollypoloid blue and rare purple-gold types. Ive seen some very unique types coming from the 70s batches that are extremely long flowering and come with very strong electrifying potency. As it went in to the late 70s and 80s there was a lot of types that seemed to change in quality and now have alot of mutants and hemaprodites , with some of the healthier looking ones now beeng somewhat faster to flower and getting thicker bud structure and wider leaf types with the gigantism fading out. So as you can see im quite the fan of those old thaistick types and I would love to see the growth structure, bud type, leaf shape ect ofoof a flowering plant of the 60s type you guys have please. Thanks.

Hello @goldendragon78,

Sorry for the late reply. We have covered this subject here:

And here:

So far, we have not been able to find the original genetics from the 60s. They might be around, but we have not been able to find them anywhere. Just like memories, genetics change over time and I don't think anyone here has been able to find what they remember from the gold old days. ????

Anyhow, we are always looking and if we find anything that resembles the old flowers, we will launch that on our site.
