geovalin Posted October 12, 2022 Share Posted October 12, 2022 Cambodia exported $17.52 billion worth of goods in the January-September period of 2022, an increase of 22.1 percent compared to the same period in 2021, according to the General Department of Customs and Excise report yesterday. The US remains the biggest market for Cambodia-made products, importing $7.04 billion worth of products from the country, accounting 40 percent of its total export amount. It was a 29.4 percent increase year-on-year, the report pointed out. Vietnam is the second biggest market for Cambodia’s products, with $1.55 billion worth of goods, showing a year-on-year increase of 3.1 percent. It was followed by Japan and China at $897 million and $895 million, respectively. The Kingdom imported $23.76 billion worth of goods during the period, an increase of 15.2 percent. Adumbration Posted October 12, 2022 Share Posted October 12, 2022 Worthless article. I would be interested in seeing a breakdown of the exported goods. It cannot just be rice. And why is Cambodia not pivoting away from low rent markets like Vietnam with the world food crisis emerging.
